The ContentsTrack mobile app simplifies the process of updating an item's location, allowing team members to track items as they are sorted, stored, and transferred. If a container is moved, its location can also be updated with ease.

How to Update an Item or Container Location

You can update the location of individual items, boxes, or containers directly through the mobile app in the Tracking tab. To learn about adding or managing containers, see the article: Setting up and Managing Containers.

Steps to Update a Location via the Tracking Tab

  1. Log into the ContentsTrack mobile app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
  3. Select Tracking.
    Online vs. Offline Modes:
    • Online Mode: Displays all containers/locations and applies updates instantly.
    • Offline Mode: Displays only specific containers (excluding mobile containers), and updates are applied once reconnected online.
  4. Tap the scope icon in the bottom-right corner.
  5. Select or scan the label for the destination location.
  6. Enter the ID of the item, box, or container, or scan its barcode.
    1. Tap the QR code icon to open the scanner.
  7. Tap Update to save changes.
