Mobile - Uploading and Managing Inventory

ContentsTrack provides multiple methods for uploading inventory, ensuring simplicity and efficiency for users to swiftly complete tasks while ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Adding Inventory to a Packout Task

Adding Individual Items:

  1. Open the job you are assigned to work on.
  2. Go into the corresponding room you are adding items for.
  3. Tap on the + icon located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  4. Choose between Add or Batch Add.
  5. ​Input the necessary details.
    For further details on each item and associating a box/item ID, refer to Item Details.
  6. Finally, click the checkmark to confirm.

Adding Items through Object Recognition:

Our Object Recognition tool streamlines the line item workflow by automatically populating data for identified objects. It can recognize hundreds of different items and undergoes continuous updates to expand its inventory with more objects.

  1. Open the job you are assigned to work on.
  2. Go into the corresponding room you are adding items for.
  3. Tap on the + icon located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  4. Click on object recognition
  5. Below the camera view, select an object status from the four options: Clean, Replace, Questionable, or Storage.
  6. Point the small gray target in the camera view towards your object. Tap the long blue button at the base of the screen to capture the image.
    1. If possible, take a picture of the entire item instead of close-up images of specific parts or pieces. This will make it easier for the Object Recognition tool to identify the item accurately.
  7. If your object isn’t being identified correctly, click “Not your item?” below the blue button. This will automatically bring up the classic item entry page.
  8. A new page will appear that identifies the object you photographed. You can select specific item information from the list on this screen.
  9. The classic item entry page will appear. Input the necessary details.
  10. To add more photos for this object, swipe down on the item inventory page.
  11. Click ADD ITEM.
    1. You will automatically be redirected to the Object Recognition page so you can add more items.

Adding Quick Inventory items:

A Quick Inventory is a compilation of items that can be conveniently grouped and swiftly added to a job, accelerating the process of assembling and distributing essential items for assignments. For adding or modifying quick inventory options, refer to Setting Up and Managing Quick Inventory.

  1. Open the job you are assigned to work on.
  2. Go into the corresponding room you are adding items for.
  3. Click on the menu icon on the top right corner.
  4. Select which quick inventory you'd like added.
  5. Finally, click the checkmark to confirm.

Editing Inventory for Packout Tasks

Adding Images to Items:

  1. Open the assigned job.
  2. Locate the item for which you want to add an image.
    1. Images can also be added during initial item creation.
  3. Click on the image icon or within the item.
    1. Inside the item, select the image icon next to notes.
  4. Choose either the camera icon to take new pictures or the image icon with a plus to select existing images from your phone.
    1. The app may prompt you to use your phone's camera directly. If so, you can start capturing images or swipe back twice to access the image icon.
  5. After capturing the necessary pictures, swipe back to select which images to import.
    1. Optionally, you can add comments or designate a primary image by clicking on the star icon.
The steps for adding or taking photos may vary depending on the location and the phone's operating system.

Editing Items:

  1. Open the job you are assigned to work on.
  2. Find the item you want to edit
    1. Go into the room for the item then click on the item.
    2. Find it through the review items view:
      1. Tap on the three lines located at the top left corner.
      2. Use the drop down arrow to select how you want to view the items to review or use the spyglass to search for the item.
      3. Click into item to edit.
  3. Once inside the item, make the necessary changes and click the checkmark to save.

Bulk Editing Items:

  1. Open the job you are assigned to work on.
  2. Find the items you want to edit.
    1. Go into the room for the items.
    2. Find it through the review items view:
      1. Tap on the three lines located at the top left corner.
      2. Use the drop down arrow to select how you want to view the items to review or use the spyglass to search for the item.
  3. Long-press on one of the items till it highlights and then select all other items you'd like to edit.
  4. Click on the pencil icon.
  5. Make the necessary changes and click the checkmark to save.

Cloning Items:

  1. Within the ContentsTrack app, click on the three lines in the top left hand corner.
  2. Click on Stations.
  3. Specify the station to which the item will be relocated, and then enter the item or box ID.
    1. Additionally, you can utilize the QR/barcode scanner by clicking on the corresponding icon.
  4. Select Retrieve Details.
  5. Check the box next to the item you wish to clone, then click on Clone.
  6. Modify any necessary details in the popup and assign a unique item/box ID. Finally, click Save.

Deleting Items:

  1. Open the job you are assigned to work on.
  2. Find the item(s) you want to delete.
    1. Go into the room for the items.
    2. Find it through the review items view:
      1. Tap on the three lines located at the top left corner.
      2. Use the drop down arrow to select how you want to view the items to review or use the spyglass to search for the item.
  3. Long-press on one item until it's highlighted, then choose all other items you wish to delete.
  4. Tap on the trash icon, then confirm by selecting YES.
