Scan barcodes with a web cam

You can now use a web cam to scan an item’s barcode in ContentsTrack. To take advantage of this new feature:

  1. Within a job, click Inventory.
  2. Click an item’s description link. The Edit Item window will appear.
  3. Click the button next to Box ID. The Scan Barcode window will appear, showing the view of your web cam.
  4. Hold the item’s barcode in front of the web cam. It will scan and save the barcode, and the Scan Barcode window will close automatically.
  5. Click .
  6. Click .
